Pritchard Vs Dainton Live

25th of November 2009

Remember the two Welsh idiots from the valleys Matthew Pritchard and Lee Dainton who are very famous U.K skaters and are famous for being on the MTV programme and film "Dirty Sanchez".

Well I had the oportunity to see them two Live back in my home town of Burton-On-Trent. The atmosphere was great for the show there was all sorts of ages there.
Pritchard and Dainton performed a live 45 minute slot and came on at 11. The live stunts which they did were very graphic some which I can't even put on here as they are too rude. One of the tricks that they did do was put a fire extinguisher to Pritchards balls which was very funny.

After the show they ended up doing signage so the fans could meet them in person. So it was a good night in the end even though they did come on at 11.00pm.

The Bodies Exhibition shows the general public a live exhibition of how the human body works showing different real body parts from the bones to the heart to cancer to smokers lungs.

This exhibition is well worth the money! and worth visiting as it opens up many eyes to what the human body is and how it works

The exhibition is still running until the end of December at The Custurd Factory is you want more information then check out: http://www.bodiesbirmingham.co.uk/

Introduction for my two chosen events

Introduction

Hi people,

For the next two months I will be following the different marketing techniques and strategies used for two separate events of my choice. I will be researching, comparing and evaluating the different marketing strategies used for my two chosen events and establishing whether these marketing techniques and strategies are effective or ineffective in captivating awareness and attendance.

My first event I have chosen is “Crufts” which is an exhibition held at the NEC (National Exhibition Centre) in Birmingham on the 11-14th March 2010.

My second chosen event will be The Babyshambles 2009/10 Tour who are an Indie Rock band that are touring different venues across the U.K.

I have decided to research the marketing techniques and strategies of these two events as they are both very popular with the general public and are both large scale events.
Lastly I am really interested in both these events and have already attended the Babyshambles Tour at the O2 Academy in Birmingham 19th December 2009 and hopefully will be attending the “Crufts” exhibition in March 2010.

350 Campaign

The Big 350 Campaign

24th October 2009

I had been asked to help out with the 350 campaign which is an environmental campaign to get the government to reduce the C02 gases down to 350 to help protect the environment and the world from future problems. At the moment the C02 gases are at 370 so High Wycombe and other environmental campaigns around the world have been spelling out the number 350 with people to promote awareness of the problem.

Weather was not looking good as it was raining heavily so the big 350 had to be called off in the park and was moved to the High Wycombe environmental Conference Centre where local supporters and myself helped out with making the 350 figures.

Bucks free press showed up and local journalist so when the photo's go up I will post the link up.

If anyone is interested in the big 350 campaign just log onto http://www.350.org/ and you can find more information about the campaign and how to help support the campaign

Cardiff Marathon

Cardiff Marathon-18th October 2009

Currently just visited the capital of Wales for the first time to go and watch the Cardiff Marathon and to go and visit my friend who's at university there.

I managed to get up bright and early for 9.00am after staggering in at half 4 in morning:p. Weather was perfect for the runners sunny and quite warm and over 8,811 runners had taken part this year and estimated 18,000 spectators.

The winner of the men's race was 19 year old Simon Lawson of Lisvane, Cardiff and winner of the womens race was Genet Measso who travelled from Ethiopa to take part.
